Bipolar Disorder: A Family-Focused Treatment Approach

Review: Bipolar Disorder: A Family-Focused Treatment Approach

It's BY FAR the most helpful I've encountered in my research. It is primarily intended for the therapist, but man-o-man has it comforted me and given me strength towards healing. My SO has been fascinated with it as well.

Example: there is a research study that shows that 94% of BP's who, after hospitalization, return to homes that are critical and overinvolved relapse to mania or depression. This study showed only 14% relapse who return to low-level emotional involvement. Chapters are spent discussing how both parties can re-learn effective communication. The books thesis is Family Therapy in conjunction with Medication.
